Hello all! I know I know!! I have totally neglected my blog and have been MIA for months!! Going to start back up again and try to do this regularly! So if you have any blog suggestions let a girl know!
Since the opening of my studio I have been focused working there, servicing on-site makeup clients and some freelance photography. I definitely have been more active on my social media accounts. (instagram,facebook,pinterest) so you can stalk me there. Also can you believe it has been 5 months!? I love this path I chose and I am constantly learning new things!
Anyways, I wanted to share this photo and product break down of this soft glam look that turned out perfect for Ali’s headshots. Check out her insta! (HairByAliButler) it is full of super pinteresty curls and to die for balayage work!
For this look, I used my one of my favorite palettes! if you don’t have it by now it should be a staple in your makeup kit! It is the Tartelette In Bloom palette! I love the range of light to dark browns! andddd can we talk about the the shade “Funny Girl” it is the prettiest champagne shimmer without being glittery. Next, I took “Teddy” eyeliner from MAC on her lower lashes and smudged with a small pencil brush to diffuse liner without making it look too smokey. Teddy is one of my favorite bronze browns, definitely a major repurchase! Followed by some falsies in Demi Wispies to make her eyes pop!
For her skin, I custom airbrushed her foundation to give her a flawless look. I finished her look with a matte liquid lipstick in the color “Dusty Rose” from Anastasia Beverly Hills. This stuff wears incredible! (PRO TIP FOR WEARING LIQUID MATTE LIPS: Apply liquid lipstick, let that dry and apply a tiny bit of lip balm on top to keep it from getting crusty! ain’t no body got time for crusty lipstick! Thank me later)
